To remove limescale, soak a paper towel in lemon juice,
cover limescale with it for one hour before rinsing.
Don’t use on thinly plated surfaces, such as gold taps.
To remove pencil marks and other non-greasy spots from
wallpapers, use an art-gum eraser or a slice of fresh rye bread.
To avoid mould and discolouring on shower curtains use
baby oil.
To clean blinds which have smoke buildup and odours,
mix a solution of one part vinegar and one part water in
a bowl. Dip a soft cloth into the liquid and wipe your blind
slats down one by one.
Decluttering tips
Keep the floor clear. Floors are for walking on, for furniture
and for kids to play on. They're not a good place to pile
miscellaneous junk and it can be dangerous if someone trips
over it.
One in, one out. Every time you buy something new for your
home make sure you let something similar go.
Don’t forget about recycling. If you have drawers and
cupboards full of carrier bags, so what can you do about your
own stash? Recycle the ones you have. Fill them up with
unwanted clutter this weekend, take them to the charity shop.
